Les B. Artman is an independent consultant who recently retired as a partner

in Accenture's Supply Chain Practice. He has spent over 20 years in

consulting and 7 years in industry helping companies improve their supply

chain and operating capabilities. His experience includes leadership of

major projects in a variety of industries including automotive, consumer

products, building products, chemicals, and retailing. He is currently working

with the Global Environmental Management Initiative (GEMI) on a project

titled "Forging New Links—Creating Supply Chain Value Through

Environmental Excellence". Les has published numerous articles and is a

frequent invited speaker at professional associations and universities on the

topic of supply chain management.
